Dedication Ceremony: America’s 250th with the General John Stark Chapter of DAR

The General John Stark Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) invites the community to a special dedication ceremony on Saturday June 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ellwood House Museum.  This event marks the beginning of our Nation's Semiquincentennial celebration and honors Major General Johann DeKalb.

As Part of this historic occasion, a Liberty Tree will be planted, and a commemorative marker will placed to recognize DeKalb's contributions to the fight for American independence.  The event serves as a tribute to our nation's 250-year journey and the enduring legacy of those who fought for freedom.

The Daughters of the American Revolution, a lineage-based service organization is comprised of members who are direct descendants of the Revolutionary War patriots. The DAR is dedicated to historic preservation, patriotism, and education, making this dedication a meaningful way to connect the past with the present.

The Ellwood House Museum has generously provided the venue and support for this event.  Community members, history enthusiasts, and local leaders are encouraged to attend and take part in this significant tribute to our nation's history.
