Since 1975, Cornsilk magazine has shared stories that capture the heart of DeKalb County, from local landmarks and family histories to the people and events that shaped our community. Originally published by the DeKalb County Historical-Genealogical Society, the magazine is now produced by the DeKalb County History Center, continuing its legacy of celebrating local history through engaging, research-based storytelling.
Join us for this month’s Brown Bag Lunch to explore the history of The Cornsilk and hear how it has evolved over the decades through the work of passionate local historians.
The Brown Bag lunch series is held on the first Thursday of the month. To register or for more information, visit dekalbcountyhistory.org or call 815-895-5762. This program is generously sponsored by the Mary E. Stevens Concert and Lecture Fund.
