Hearthside Room Rentals
Rent the Ellwood House Visitor Center's Hearthside Room for your special event and enjoy beautiful views of the Ellwood House grounds, mansion and woods. The room accommodates 80 people seated at tables for a luncheon or dinner with room for a buffet or head table. Up to 120 people can be seated in rows for a program, meeting or wedding.
Room rental includes use of tables, chairs, podium, piano, audio-visual equipment and set-up. Linens and table services are not included. Events may be catered or a full-service kitchen is available for use. Alcoholic beverages may only be supplied and served by DeKalb Park District staff. The total room dimension is 1326 square feet. Please contact the Ellwood House for rental fees and usage guidelines.
Rooms in the Ellwood mansion itself are not available for rentals at any time.
Garden Weddings
The Ellwood House gardens may be reserved for wedding ceremonies beginning prior to 12 Noon or after 5:00 PM. Rentals do not include chairs. External power outlets are available for use.
The fee for use of the garden for a wedding is $150.00. The garden may be reserved for a wedding rehearsal for $50.00. Reserving the Visitor Center's Hearthside Room for a back-up location in the event of bad weather costs an additional $100.00. A garden rental for a ceremony with a wedding reception to follow in the the Hearthside Room is $450.00.
