Ellwood-Nehring House

What's new at the museum?     Ellwood-Nehring House

How about an entire new property to interpret?

That's right. Soon we will take possession of the Ellwood-Nehring House, a spectacular 1899 Tudor style home situated on the corner of the Ellwood estate.

The home is being gifted by our very generous friend and neighbor, Shirley Hamilton-Nehring. Her love of history and the arts is evident, and her vision for the future of Ellwood House Association is unmatched.

We are partnering with Mrs. Nehring to determine the best use of her property. We plan on a schedule of public tours, art and music programs, site rentals for weddings and birthday parties, music recitals, and a museum intern residency program.

The house will be operated as part of the museum campus in late 2012.
